V3 asterisk vs freeswitch

I have started thinking about the migration from 2.7/8 to 3.0 in the not too far future. I am running 2.8beta now with obviously asterisk.
My question is what are most people planning on using once they go to 3.0? asterisk or freeswitch and why.
Will there be an inplace upgrade to v3 from 2.x? 2.x to 3.0 freeswitch?
I have a pretty basic setup. 2 SIP trunks, 5 DID's, 2 VOIP aastra phones, a few PAP2T's. Basic IVR ect.
Thanks!
Jonathan

I doubt that many will be moving from 3.0 very quickly.
3.0 is a completely different animal. It will be quite a few releases until 3.0 has feature parity with the 2.x train.
2.x will be supported for the foreseeable future.
While 3.0 has a great future I have to wonder when you ask:
Is this a production environment? If so I would not even consider any .0 release even if all of the features you need are in that version.
Depends
I switched to FreeSwitch about a year ago, and just worked with the config files for a long time. I finally installed v3 about a month ago, and I would say go for it! It works really quite well with FS.
As far as making the jump to FreeSwitch, I would say that based on your configuration you posted, there is no real benefit in the switch for you. There is also no reason you shouldn't check it out either though...
I made the jump because my system grew to the point that Asterisk was becoming a real beast to keep running.
I was, and still am, an Asterisk fan, bu FreeSwitch is much better in my situation.
