V3 ISO

Any idea when will the V3 ISO be available again?

hopefully within a few weeks

hopefully within a few weeks or less. We are ironing out a bunch of loose ends and also making sure that the Asterisk drivers are finished along with the FreeSWITCH.

Once we get those crunched out then we intend to get an ISO available to get a wider audience kicking the tires on it.

Older Version

Any chance we could have a link to an older version of the ISO so we could start experimenting now?

FreePBX v3.0 ISO

I too am interested in getting this iso, I read a few weeks on this a month ago.. Not sure what is going on other than the developers have been really busy on other projects.

Thank You,
Joe

Diddo interested

Would like to get the ISO to start testing: On a different note: I also started testing out a manual install for integration with Ebox http://www.ebox-platform.com/ (Ubuntu LTS based distro. Ya ya.. give me a break I'm a Debian guy been down the RPM hell-rabbit hole one to many times ;) ) I'll post my experience in a different thread, and possibly a howto IF I get it working.

ebox

it looks like ebx is running asterisk according to the website. I think everyone here is mostly interested in freeswitch.

Yeah they do have a "Module"

Yeah they do have a "Module" for Asterisk but it's a very limited striped down version of Asterisk, and not very configurable the way they have it set up. I'm working to get Freepbx and ebox to play nice and possibly use the FreePBX DB to pull user info for the ebox platform, and use the FreePBX web interface for phone/PBX administration. What has peeked my attention is the fact that by utilizing the AMI interface in Asterisk 1.6 (and higher) in V3... this would allow for writing of configuration files remotely. Meaning I could keep the FreePBX and Ebox on one server, and move the Asterisk server to another server if needed to distribute the load between servers etc... Again I'm just testing ways I can integrate the two, since ebox already is able to do a master, slave, type cloud setup. And no I have not ruled out FreeSwitch, the multi-tenancy features with multiple domains sounds very interesting as well!

How is freePBX v3 for Freeswitch project going? It's been months since the first release of the ISO, and I dont know why that file was withdrawn nearly right after.

Yes!

There is still activity around this - lots of it. I am hoping to have more information to announce to you ASAP, I swear it.

There will definitely be an ISO shortly.

Looking forward to it

I'm looking forward to the ISO too as I'm also wanting to test with Freeswitch rather than Asterisk. I may just have to try the manual install.
