This is my first post. Hope my questions isn't to difficult. Can someone please help me out to redirect outbound calls to my Poivy.com account?
I made a SIP trunk with the outgoing settings as below:
host=sip.poivy.com
username=usrxxx
secret=pswxxx
type=peer
nat=yes
port=5060
My register string:
usrxxx:pswxxx@sip.poivy.com
Turns out that my asterisk server is not even registering with sip.poivy.com.
Can somebody please help. Getting this to work would save me a lot on calls to mobile phones :-)
Your Peer Details is OK, you don't even have to configure the port number to 5060 and you don't even have to register, leave the registration string empty. Did you create an outbound route? If you did, make sure that you need to add 00 on your dial plan, ex: for US calling, 00 + 1 + area code + the phone number.
