send message to cell phone

I need to setup our office server to receive an incoming message after hours and then have the server call a cell phone and deliver the message it received. What is the best way to do this? It has to be a voice mail message not an email. Is this possible? Thanks

This is possible
It sounds like you want the FreePBX server to call your cellphone whenever a message is left and automatically playback the message to you. It's not built in, so you'll have to find someone else who has already done it or figure out how to do it yourself. This book may give you some ideas:

On the other hand, you might think about calling your FreePBX from your cell phone and checking the FreePBX voicemail over the phone. There are a number of ways this kind of access can be setup.
Another option is to use VmX Locator and/or Follow Me to have the incomming calls ring an internal destination and your cellphone at the same time. Check out this info; it's pretty cool.

Thanks, Seth
Here's the old script
Use this link to the old outcalling code. Read the whole thread. There were a lot of updates and suggestions implemented. I used to use this on Asterisk 1.2 and it worked well. Haven't really tried it with 1.4 or 1.6
