vmx locater

hi there can i please get some hel on vmx locator.
i went through the folowme settings and through the ari settings and enabled vmx
when i call the extention i am testing it on i get the normal unavailble voicemail and does not ask me to press 1 or 2 can somone please provide me with some very detailed steps as i am new to this

Dial *97 (*98) to go to your voicemail, there you can do setup to record your messages for unavailable and busy. Those messages are used when you use VmX Locater. So it is up to you to record those messages, they are not included in FreePBX or Asterisk.
