If you've been on top of the online module repository then you may have noticed that the last Framework and Core update brought your 2.11 system up to final release state. As we discussed in one of our last blogs this has been a long release but we are excited to mark it final and equally excited to see how many systems out there are running it in production!

We usually have quite a few beta sites up before moving to a release candidate but having over 10,000 beta systems out there is a bit of a record:) … maybe a little embarrassing that we did not 'deem' it release candidate quality some time ago. With all that said though, we have now rolled the release candidate and given how heavily 2.11 has been tested and is in production, it's simply a formality and we should be moving to final release within a week or so!

Since we updated the Forum software to Drupal Version 7 the code filters had not been working.
This made it very difficult to post XML, HTML examples to forum posts.
The filter needed to be moved to the bottom of the list, now text formats BBCode and Filtered HTML both render code properly.

As anyone who knows me over the years spelling and grammar are not by strong suite so please do not take offense if you find mistakes. I am here to try and provide valuable technical information.

If you spend time around our forums and website then introductions are hardly needed. Almost 3 years ago we listened to our user base and evolved from the FreePBX application to the FreePBX Distro, with all the added security and great engineering enhancements that came with controlling a whole Distro. This would not have been possible without the partnership of Schmooze Com, Inc. who stepped up to the plate in providing and completely running the Distro project. Along with that partnership came thousands of hours of selfless contributions back to the project and can be clearly seen from all the improvements in FreePBX all the way to our website infrastructure and 'shiny new facelift' which Schmooze drove and significantly contributed to.
