Training Discounts from Sangoma Sell Out

As the title says, the two Sangoma discounts came and went and with them, the training is quickly reaching capacity. In fact, we were surprised to see a third registration come in with the SANGOMA discount code. An administrative error on our part allowed for an additional discount to get through so congratulations on that third registration slipping threw the cracks! On top of it – we have exceeded our block of rooms with the hotel although they have told us they will continue to honor the rate through tomorrow (1/23) – unless they sell out of rooms which is quickly happening.
Since the scholarship program with Sangoma has worked out so well for two individuals (well three…) we have had requests from some other manufactures asking if they could participate. We are currently talking with them so all may not be lost and if we work something out we will let you know. If we come through, be ready to act quick because the current trend indicates they will probably sell out as quick as the Sangoma deal did. And this time, we know how to configure the system to keep from another administrative error.
FreePBX 2.4 Podcast on The VoIP Experience
While I’m blogging – let me give you a pointer to a podcast I just did with cosmicwombat’s “The VoIP Experience” that he posted about on the forum. This is the second of a 3 part series that he has been running and the focus on the recent talk was FreePBX 2.4. So if you have not listened and want to hear a summary of what’s been going on, it’s available now. (and we spend some time catching you up since 2.2 for those who have not made the move to 2.3)

RHINO Comes Through
It looks like our discussions have been successful faster then we thought. Our good friends over at Rhino Equipment Corp just contributed 4 more scholarships at the same savings as the previous one, $500 per person for the next 4 registrations or until they expire on Friday, February 1 although we doubt they will last that long at the rate that people have been responding to the training.
Don't miss out on this memorable and high quality training, we are looking forward to seeing you in Charleston, SC next month!
Interest Keeps Coming In
The RHINO discount codes have been well received so there are only two left at the time of this writing! We are also playing a bit of a juggling game with the hotel. Our block of rooms have now been exhausted and with January 23rd now being passed (their sales office being closed now) they are no longer honoring the $169 rate if you call them directly.
We reserved five more rooms at the last minute, 2 of which are now already gone, so 3 of those rooms are available but probably not for long! When you register, the confirmation page will give you instructions to contact us and we will work with you and the hotel to get those rooms moved into your name. But that is it as the hotel is getting sold out and we can not get any more deals. The price they are quoting is $299/night so don't wait too long to take advantage of these three rooms.
As we mentioned we are quickly reaching capacity although there are still a few more training slots then the three rooms remaining so we will be talking to some neighboring hotels to see what we can do about finding a few more rooms for you late comers who sign up in the next couple weeks. (Since we suspect this training may likely sell out by then).
For now - we really look forward to seeing all of you who have already registered!
RHINO are all gone
I'm excited as well as sorry to report that putting in the RHINO coupon code into the registration page will no longer do you any good as they have all sold out as we suggested might be the case. And that administrative error from the last time around won't happen again, I just checked, there are 0/4 remaining RHINO coupons left.
And with that goes another of the few rooms we have left, I think it brings it down to 2 rooms at the negotiated rate that we snatched up and we are actively seeking alternative arrangements for the last registrations we suspect will come in before we sell out and have to start thinking about the next event.
In the meantime, we are in discussions with a couple other manufactures to see if they want to help the cause and sponsor some other scholarships. We will see how that goes, although at this point, if you want to be where the action is you may not want to wait and miss out on one of these last rooms available in the event's hotel.
Discount is good for everybody.
hmm that are giving a quite nice discount on the training stuff i think its good for everybody, and people always look for the products who offer discount.
