Founders

Philippe Lindheimer is the Project Leader and primary Developer of FreePBX and the Open Source Community Director for Bandwidth.com. Philippe’s interest in telecom began in the early 1990s when he worked at Hewlett Packard’s European Headquarters helping leading telephone companies re-architect their Business Support Systems. For more than two decades he has worked in the Engineering industry in a range of technical consulting roles with Fortune 500 Companies. He has been involved in creating and presenting numerous technical training events on a worldwide basis and has spoken at past Astricon developer conferences and Asterisk World.

Tony Lewis is in charge of sales, marketing, reseller procurement and reseller relations at Schmooze Communications and Teleconnex. He comes from an entrepreneurial background successfully starting and running various companies and brings a wide background in aggressive sales and marketing. His true passion is competing with FreePBX/Asterisk based PBX’s in a Legacy World and he has developed a successful program to give integrators an edge when selling against the Big Brand Competition. Mr. Lewis also has a vast knowledge of FreePBX and Asterisk and what their capabilities for customization bring to the table; and how to use the openness of Asterisk to help close sales.

Staff and Partners

David Duffett has delivered Asterisk training and consultancy around the world, in addition to designing and delivering training for a number of companies (including Digium). A keen Asterisk enthusiast, David also enjoys conference speaking, podcasting, radio presenting and teaching public speaking skills. He is a Chartered Engineer and qualified trainer with experience including Air Traffic Control communications, Wireless Local Loop, Mobile Networks, Computer Telephony, VoIP and Asterisk. David holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Hertforshire, and has been in the telecoms sector for nearly 20 years. He has had a number of computer telephony, VoIP and Asterisk articles published through various industry publications and websites. David has co-authored a book on Asterisk, which will be released through Packt publishing later this year.

Robert Keller (cosmicwombat) is the Lead Technologist for Legoe Bay Unified Communications. He has been very active with Asterisk and FreePBX for over 3 years and is a respected and recognized leader in the communities and forums that surround this great technology and produces the audio blog www.thevoipexperience.net. He has worked with traditional telephony, networking and computer and computer training industries since the late 90’s. Prior to this period Mr. Keller worked in a variety of industries from the investigative technology side of law enforcement to video entertainment productions and has been involved with the Internet since its birth around 1990. He graduated from Western Washington University in 1993.
