Invalid Predefined Patterns in Outbound Routes

Reported by: hevad57 Assigned to: gregmac
Priority: trivial Milestone: 2.2
Component: Core - Trunks/Routing Version: 2.2rc1
Keywords: Cc:
Confirmation: Distro:
Backend Engine: All Distro Ver:
Backend Ver: SVN Revision (if applicable):

Description

If the "lookup local prefixes" option is selected in the predefined patterns list of an outbound route it includes patterns of the form NXX+NXXXXXX (ie uses a plus sign). However outbound routes do not appear to be able to use this syntax, only trunks can. Even the mouse-over help for the Dial plan does not mention the use of a '+'.

n3glv - actually, this bug is correct (I should have put a comment) it puts bogus info.

this is wrong behavior, apparently been there for a couple of years. It really doesn't hurt anythign (since you can't dial the bogus patterns it creates) although it is clearly a bug that should be fixed with some proper filtering. I am downgrading to minor though cause there isn't any direct harm that I can see by putting in those bogus numbers.

No, it doesn't appear to hurt anything aside from confusing the user. I'd prefer to turn this into a related feature request and implement actually the "+" operator in the outbound routes for those occasions where it is preferable to doing it in the trunk.

Also it would be useful to actually have this "lookup local prefixes" command in the trunk setup that did supply the "+" where it is actually used. I know it can be cut and pasted from the routes, but that's not exactly intuitive...

we really should clean this up before 2.2 final, but since it is a little used and very minor feature, downgrading to trivial for now.
