Directory generates 'sent into invalid context' error on multiple matches

Description

Using FreePBX 2.9.0rc1 (Core 2.9.0rc1.6) Using Directory 2.9.0.7

When multiple matches are found after searching the directory, the user is not allowed to select any of the choices. Instead, the system simply hangs up the call. A search of the logs reveals that the an error:

<Channel> sent into invalid extension '1' in context 'from-internal', but no invalid handler is generated.

Logs attached. To reproduce:

Perform directory search that yields at least two matches.
