Input validation on creating SIP extension

Description

Please regex the input validation for syntactically correct ip/subnet. I had a typo and now freepbx has gone haywire and crashed asterisk!

Please be more specific. Are you referring to deny/permit fields?

I have tested to put in invalid IP-addresses in these permit/deny fields. On Asterisk 1.8 I only get this in the log file: 

[2011-07-16 12:41:03] WARNING[5512] acl.c: Invalid IP address: 255.255.255..0
[2011-07-16 12:41:03] ERROR[5512] chan_sip.c: Bad ACL entry in configuration line 21 : 255.255.255..0/0.0.0.0

What version of Asterisk do you use?
