Unable to login to fresh installed 2.9

Description

I just performed a fresh installation freepbx 2.9 (wget http://www.freepbx.org/freepbx-2.9.0.tar.gz) and upon connecting to the admin URL, the database authorization dialog was presented. I tried the steps documented on this page:

setting AUTHTYPE=none in /etc/amportal.conf did not fix it and restarting amportal caused the value to be returned to AUTHTYPE=database. Once I ran "amportal admin auth_none" and was able to login to the admin interface immediately.
