5872,Attempting to attach a MAC address to any NIC in a two NIC card machine does not make it to /etc/sysconfig/ifcfg-ethx,many_miles,tonyclewis,I have a dual-NIC box.\r\n\r\nI go to System Admin_ Network Settings.\r\n\r\nI fill in details on both eth0 and eth1 INCLUDING Mac Address field.\r\n\r\n"Save Settings"\r\n\r\nAll details seem to occur properly_ except_ HWADDR does not make it into either /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 or ifcfg-eth1.\r\n\r\nAlso_ when revisiting the page to review the changes (after the "Save Settings" has taken place)_ the MAC still does not show up.\r\n\r\nAs such_ each boot cycle selects given IPs to be assigned randomly to NICs_ which causes networking issues since different cables go to different networks.\r\n\r\nWhen I made the attached change to network.js (/var/www/html/admin/assets/sysadmin/js/views)_ I could get the HWADDR to be populated within all /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ethx_ but_ the fix would cause additional issues:\r\n - If blanking eth1_ after "Save Settings"_ eth1 would contain the same data as eth0 in the web page\r\n - Mac Address fields were STILL not populated in the web interface page.\r\n\r\nI searched in bug tracker_ and_ only found one reference to Mac Addresses within Network Settings_ which was about corrupting Asterisk SIP settings_ which_ I don't think is happening here.\r\n\r\nMy MVC and javascripting skills are in their infancy_ or_ I would have tried to further follow the bug deeper into the code_ but_ I didn't know where to keep looking.,Bugs,new,major,2.11,System Admin,2.10-branch,,MAC Address,,Unreviewed,,Asterisk 1.8,,1.8.11.0,
