Description

Can extensions have the "Destination if no answer" selections like queues and ring groups do? Would be handy to send a call that is not answered to another spot instead of just voicemail. (A drop down to select another mailbox, or send it to another Queue) etc.

add a follow me for the extension, and enter the extension number in the list, you then have all of the options of a ring group (including fail destination)

  • owner deleted.
  • version changed from 2.2rc1 to SVN-HEAD.
  • component changed from - choose - to Core.
  • milestone set to 2.3.

I'll leave the request open for discussion, but believe that the right answer is to use the followme as described.

This is added in 2.9, you can now have three types of destinations:

  • No Answer
    • Destination call is routed to when the call is not answered on an otherwise idle phone. If the phone is in use and the call is simply ignored, then the busy destination will be used.
  • Busy
    • Destination the call is routed to when the phone is busy or the call is rejected by the user. This destination is also used on an unanswered call if the phone is in use and the user chooses not to pickup the second call.
  • Not Reachable
    • Destination the call is routed to when the phone is offline, such as a softphone currenlty off or a phone unplugged.
