SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) enables secure Single Sign-On (SSO) across applications. The PBX SAML module provides SSO for FreePBX, PBXact, and portals like UCP and Sangoma Desktop Client, allowing users to authenticate with credentials managed by an Identity Provider (e.g., Azure AD, Google, and OKTA). Logged-in users are automatically granted access or redirected for authentication if not. This simplifies logins, enhances security, and centralizes identity management.
Features
SAML can be enabled for users at an individual or group level.
Supported Identity Providers
The PBXSAML module currently supports the following Identity Providers (IdP) for SAML Single Sign-On (SSO) integration:
- Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Azure AD)
- OKTA
