New Commercial Module Launched ‘UCP for EPM’
The UCP for EPM module allows end users to change and overide their phone button configurations directly in the User Control Panel ‘UCP’ of FreePBX 12. This module is an add-on to the hugely popular FreePBX EndPoint Manager.

UCP for EPM button configuration changes will overide templates configured using EPM. Users can be enabled to manage their own buttons, via permissions in the User Management module. Button changes made will only impact the single users devices and will not be reflected in the EPM template. View the full user guide in the wiki.

FreePBX Localization and Translation for a Global Audience, presented by Kevin McCoy, Research and Development – QLOOG
In this FreePBX World 2014 presentation Kevin provides an overview of the FreePBX Project’s new strategy for brining accessible croudsourcing translation and localization to FreePBX. He highligts the creative challenges that need to be overcome in software localization and why the open source codebase of FreePBX gives us a definitive edge over closed solutions that struggle with diverse needs of a global audience. He provides suggestions for developers on “border free” coding strategies. We invite multilingual community members to participate in expanding the scope of FreePBX’s multilingual capabilities. FreePBX Contact Management
The FreePBX Contact Manager module is currently under development. This module will let you create contact groups to be utilized within other modules and FreePBX applications. The current roadmap provides integration into the Contact FreePBX Phone App (REST APP), and various User Control Panel ‘UCP’ functions, such as SMS, Call Origination and Conferencing. Contacts can be grouped under Internal or External contacts, and will also automatically create a group of users from the internal users loaded into the User Management module.
